What is Sira Health?+
A Ugandan health platform that gives you one secure medical record, lets you find hospitals and doctors, order medicine for delivery, and pay with mobile money — from a smartphone or a basic phone via USSD.
How do I sign up?+
Visit sirahealth.life on any smartphone and register with your name, phone number and email. Patients can self-register; doctors and pharmacists are added by their hospital or pharmacy admin.
Can I use Sira Health without a smartphone?+
Yes. Dial the USSD shortcode (rolling out on Yo! Uganda) from any phone to find hospitals, check prescription status, order medicine and see active blood appeals.
How do I pay?+
We accept MTN MoMo, Airtel Money and Visa/Mastercard through Flutterwave. Every successful payment shows in your Payment history with a downloadable receipt.
How do I get medicine delivered?+
Open a pending prescription, choose a pharmacy offering delivery, confirm your address, and the pharmacy will contact you. You can also request delivery via USSD.
Who can see my medical record?+
Only you and healthcare workers you have permission with — during a visit or when you actively grant access. See our Trust & Safety page for the full breakdown.
What if my phone is stolen?+
Your data lives on our servers, not on your phone. Sign in on any device, then change your password from the account menu to lock the old device out.
Can I use Sira Health in an emergency?+
No — always call 999 or go to the nearest hospital. Sira Health is for finding care, managing records and requesting medicine, not for emergency response.
Which hospitals and pharmacies are on Sira Health?+
See our public directories at /hospitals and /pharmacies. New partners join every month — email partners@sirahealth.life to add your facility.
Is my National ID (NIN) safe?+
Yes. Your NIN is encrypted at rest and only used to match your identity across hospitals. It's never shared with third parties without your consent. Full detail on our Trust & Safety page.
How much does it cost?+
Sira Health is free for patients. Hospitals and pharmacies pay a subscription — contact partners@sirahealth.life for pricing.
How do I delete my account?+
Email privacy@sirahealth.life and we will remove your account within 30 days. Some records may be retained for legal/medical reasons as described in our Privacy Policy.
